Crystals have been recognised throughout history for their protective, healing and rejuvenating properties. There are numerous accounts of this in ancient texts including the bible. Humanity has always been drawn to gems and crystals since times of Lemuria and Atlantis as they recognised their mysterious healing powers.

Crystals are Stone people, multi-dimensional beings of light, who work and assist us to heal the planet and all that live upon her.

Some people believe that each crystal has a nature spirit called a Deva within them who works with the guardian of the stone for healing and well being.

How crystals work

Crystals are natural solids which have formed deep within the earth's crust and people have different ideas of how they work.

Some say it is their piezoelectric effect (the ability of crystals to generate a voltage in response to mechanical stress) and pyroelectric effect (the ability to generate an electrical potential in response to a temperature change).

Others believe by setting an intent and focus on the power within the crystal this magically creates a healing result.

However there currently is no scientific proof that crystals can heal or cure disease, but they have been found to emanate a vibration and light with both piezoelectric and pyroelectric effects which we benefit from in the use in watches, lasers, computer and many other house hold items.

Crystal healing

Crystals are conduits of energy; they can focus, store, transmit, and transmute energy which is beneficial when used in healing. Crystals can bring peace, equilibrium and well being to all.

Choosing Crystals

Before you purchase your crystals for healing or to place in your sacred space and on your altar, ask spirit, your higher self or angels, to guide you to the crystals that are in tune with your own vibrations and that will aid you most in your work.

Cleansing your crystals

New stones must be cleansed before using them, as they will have picked up many vibrations in transportation, in the shop, and from everyone who has touched them.

Cleansing will clear the crystal of any unwanted energy and restore it to its full clarity.

Methods of cleansing:

Flower petals
Some crystals are water-soluble or will lose their shine if placed in water. A gentle way to cleanse these crystals is to leave them for 24 hours in a bowl of rose petals for love or lavender for cleansing.

Sound
Vibrations of pure sound can energetically cleanse a stone. A bell, gong, singing bowl, or tuning fork can be used for this purpose. Just sound them above your crystals.

Earth
Bury your crystals in mother Gaia or a potted plant, mark the spot and leave for 24 hours, 7 days or a full luna cycle. When retrieved, rinse under running water.

Incense or smudge stick
Hold the crystal within the smoke of the incense or smudge. Herbs such as sage, sweet grass, cedar, sandalwood and frankincense are ideal for their purifying qualities.

Bach flower remedy
Crystals that have been used for healing work respond well to being cleansed in a tumbler of water with a couple of drops of rescue remedy added.

Crystal Cluster
You can also place your stones on a large crystal cluster that has been programmed to cleanse and energise your crystals. Alternatively you could place them in a circle around the cluster, leave for 24 hours.

Visualisation
Take a deep breath, and blow over your crystal. Imagine you are clearing away all stagnate energies. Repeat three times.

Reiki
If you are attuned to Reiki you can clear your stones by giving them Reiki, if you have Reiki two you can incorporate the symbols.

Which ever method you use, know that your crystals will be delighted when you cleanse them. They will shine brightly, change colourand will seem very happy.

Sometimes you will hear the Deva saying 'Thank You! '

Dedicating your crystals

Once you have cleansed your crystal you may like to dedicate it to the light.

Programming crystals

Place your crystal in your left hand with the point facing upwards, hold your right hand over the top of the crystal, concentrate on a beam of divine white light from the source, or your Angels, entering your crown chakra moving down to your left hand and up through the base of the crystal and out of the top.

Fill the crystal be with an appropriate image, this could be seeing yourself and your clients healthy and happy. Focus on this for 5-10 minutes.

By repeating this programme daily for up to two weeks, it will increase its potential and you will find in time you will connect easier and the crystal will help you with your request.
